American Picture Gallery was formed with the goal of providing the best quality photography at a resonable price. We supply world class images for personal and commercial use. Images from our collection can be licensed under either of two programs: Royalty-Free or Rights-Managed. Images are placed into one of these two programs depending on their legal usage. Basically the difference between the two is that Royalty-Free allows not for profit usage while Rights-Managed allows for profit usage.

Default pricing for the site is set for Royalty-Free licensing and contains prices based on the file size. There are three quality sizes available for each Royalty-Free JPEG image: High Quality, Medium Quality and Web Quality. File sizes range from 3000 pixels down to 600 pixels each, all measured from the longest side and are 12mb to 600k each.

An accurate Rights-Managed fee quote entails many variables based on the type of usage, duration required and the production run. We quote these fees on a per project basis and must be contacted by the client with specific information regarding the required license. Rights-Managed JPEG file sizes average 3000 pixels and above and are 12MB and larger.

ROYALTY FREE LICENSE

The Royalty-Free license grants non-exclusive unlimited use of the image or images selected for a one-time flat fee in any not for profit project. Once purchased, an image is pre-cleared and ready for download to use in a variety of not for profit forms. Downloads are generally approved and executed within 24hrs from when the order is placed. RIGHTS MANAGED LICENSE

The Rights-Managed Commerial license grants non-exclusive limited use of the image or images selected for a specific time frame and production run. Our Rights-Managed license authorizes use of our photographs for profit commerical purposes and guarantees that the images selected will not be licensed for a similar usage to a competing client for the duration of the license. Commerical resale uses are items or products that will be sold in stores, printed advertising or through ecommerce websites for profit.
